Hello GLE forum! I'm an owner of a new 2016 Iridium Silver GLE350 SUV. I live in northern Colorado and traded in my BMW X5 for this MB SUV. I never thought I'd switch from BMW to MB, but after looking at BMW, Audi, Volvo, Porsche, Lexus and Acura I decided to make the switch. I'm happy overall but there are a couple of things that bug me, and that's why I joined the forum. I hope this forum will help me resolve the couple of issues I've got. I'll post them separately. I'm looking forward to enjoying it for a very long time and appreciate the discussion.

New GLE 250AMG Premium line

Proud owner of this GLE 250 AMG, I've just swapped it for the out going ML250 AMG Sport and have to say apart from the face lift and more aggressive look, it feels more stable with less body roll and more solid with an eagerness to take corners more rapidly. It's got the power if you need it and has a great presence on the road and has heads turning. :nerd: I for one love it!

Thank you for welcoming me to the forum.

I currently drive a 2016 GLE 450AMG which I think is a brilliant looking car but I do find the exhaust noise & the hard ride, even in comfort mode a bit wearing on a long trip. Having said that this is about my sixth MB so I am certainly a fan of the brand.

GLE350 Exhaust Noise Solution

Hello GLE Forum. I recently purchased a 2017 GLE350. With the new car excitement, at first I failed to notice the annoying exhaust whine or moan at 1500 rpm. But when I did I felt I could not live with it. The dealership was no help and refused to concede that the car had a problem. Back at home I looked under the car and immediately deduced that the problem would be easy to solve. So with a little roofing flashing, two large hose clamps and ten minutes of time I cured my moaning GLE. The finished project is not the best looking thing but the car sounds perfect now.
The solution was to roll up about a 9" x 10" piece of aluminum flashing and slide it into the fake exhaust port from the outside. Then slide it on to the exhaust pipe and clamp it tight with the hose clamp. It may need to be adjusted to looked good. Then do the other side. See the attached pictures. I plan to take the car to a muffler shop and have a professional job done.
I really like this car now and am rapidly forgetting the old ML350 that served me so well for 13 years.

Welcome to the forums @AntennaMan ! I think I've seen other dealers remedy this problem but attaching a turn down pipe to the exhaust (before the bumper) and have the exhaust vent straight down to the ground opposed to through the fake cutout thing.

GLE 550e in Connecticut

Our last Mercedes was an R350. We purchased our GLE 550e at the end of 2017. Very pleased so far. I would like to upgrade the wheels, so I'm checking out the Forum to see what my options are.

Just took delivery of my second GLE

Bought my first (2016 Iridium Silver 4Matic) in December 2015 just as the models first changed from the ML to the GLE. Loved the car, including handling, steering, comfort and design. Wished I had the running boards, heated steering wheel and Android Auto. Just took advantage of a pull forward lease and upgraded to a 2018. Same color, but added the features I was missing. And managed to save $35 per month with some solid negotiations.

Hi GLE Forum
I currently own E class of 2011, ML350 of 2014 and GLC43 AMG of 2017. I have booked a fully loaded(except special suspension system) GLE450W4 in Nov 2018. My dealer is not able to tell me the date on which I can have this car. I will appreciate if someone can shed some light on the expected delivery date. Thanks

Time to introduce myself! My wife and I purchased an end of lease 2016 GLE350D just under one year ago. Over the course of the past year we have racked up the mileage having both an A and B service at our dealer and are well on our way towards our next service appointment. We live in southern BC close to the Idaho border.

Thank you for the add. I just swapped a 19 450 GLS for 22 450 GLE. Love the smaller footprint and looks. I am in my 70’s and needed a vehicle that handled great, handled our luggage and gave decent gas mileage while having good acceleration. Do a lot of USA traveling and this car does all that.
