For the 2018 model year, Mercedes is adding an extra 23 hp to the biturbo 3.0-liter V6 engine for an overall output of 385 hp. This way it'll be on par with its European counterpart, but those North of the border won't be getting it. At least not as far as I know.

And the price bump is very affordable because the 2018MY GLE43 has a $67,750 price tag, only $600 more than before.

I am considering the GLE 43 redesign next year along with the new BMW X5 and Audi SQ 8. I like to follow threads on vehicles I may purchase but can’t find anything on the “43”. Any suggestions?

You should look no further than other '43' models, one of the most important of those being the GLC 43.
Although the GLE weighs more, how Mercedes tunes them differently makes all the difference
