What is the best tire pressure settings for 2016 GLE 350? On manual or the door, it state that cold tire pressure should be: front 45 psi, rear 48 psi. But sales person told me that front 35 psi, rear 36 psi. Which one is correct one and I should use? Thanks.

I ran 45psi and found it to be too harsh, bouncy and noisy. So I drop it down to 40psi cold on all four tires. It's much smoother and I don't see any mpg lost. but with the summer Sun it went back up to 45psi after a hour on the road.

I ran into this same confusion on my new 2017 GLE. After doing more digging into the manuals (paper and digital versions), I found out that the 45/48psi listed on the driver door jam is for maximum load on the vehicle. The info printed on the fuel filler door is the more informative one. It has both the max load and light load psi listings. The light load is 32/32psi. I went with 36/36psi cold.
These new manuals (compared to my old 2006 ML manuals) are very badly written (I think they were lost in translation from German).

At least now you know all those numbers since when it comes time to carrying a load whether that be heavy cargo or full with passengers you can increase the tire pressure accordingly but not many people do that anyways. The most i've seen is near max PSI in winter for better traction.

Why would you put near max pressure in the tires for winter time ? Maxing the pressure on the tire could result in reduction in braking capabilities, easier to slide the car out, increasing tire wear - mostly the center of the tire much quicker which would then reduce your traction. You're supposed to increase the pressure for the winter but no where near the max, it's supposed to be a bit over optimal.

It will be best to consult a wheel and tire professional but from experience I learned that incremental increases in pressure will allow you to find what fits a perfect medium.
Some people driving in the city won't need to increase it that much but those far out will.

Tire Pressure - 2018 GLC350

Thank you! The pressure lights are not on but they looked a bit lower than normal. They indicated 28/28/28/28 on the car monitor but no indication of needing air. The door said 45/48 - that is a big difference. I put air in the rear to 34 but was hesitant to do them all until I read what is the norm. I will do 34 in the rear and 32 in the front and see how that goes. WEIRD. My GLC had no issues but my C350 had low profile tires and left me with emotional scars... : )
