Switch Noise from Rear Liftgate

I have a 2016 GLE 350 and when I slow to below about 15 mph I hear a switch engaging and then disengages again above 15 or so mph. The sound comes from the rear Liftgate area. It is the same sound the camera makes when you are stopped and put the vehicle in reverse. It sounds like that every time I slow below a certain speed and then go back above. Taking it in for service but am afraid I will get the standard, "they all do that" response. Anyone familiar?

I have a 2017 GLE 350. I have exactly the same noise, but after a few tests, I need to be driving above 30 mph and then get to a complete stop to hear the noise. Anytime I drive below 30 mph, the nose is not there. I was hoping to get any leads from the forum.

I stumbled across this old thread as I'm trying to diagnose the exact noise you describe. Do you remember if you ever solved this, or how the dealer fixed it?

This same noise has started on my wife's 2018. Do you remember how you or the dealer solved it?
