Is it practically possible for someone to steal the GLE? In the old days there was LoJack, but today's GLE (and other MB automobiles) have GPS tracking so you can monitor (with your smart phone) exactly where you car is. You can lock and unlock the door or start/stop the engine. I would be curious to know if anyone has had a GLE stolen.

currently cars are commonly stolen by thieves replicating the signal that was originally sent from the owners fob.
to get around that you can always lock your doors manually so you don't send a signal that can be intercepted and replicated.

Making it harder to get your vehicle back are criminal networks that are quick to ship these overseas. Down the road I won't be surprised if insurance rates for certain vehicles sky rocket because of that. Friends of mine with Lexus GX's and Mercedes G Wagons talk about this often.
