I've been debating on the GLE or Porsche Macan, but went with the GLE due to the friends and family discount I received. I ordered a polar white one with brown leather. It's set to be built and delivered in September.

Congratulations.

Do you think you would have gone with the Macan if you didn't have the discount? And how much is that discount by the way?

Thanks. Yes, I probably would have gone with the Macan because it would have been a lot cheaper ~65k withheld options I wanted. The MB discount I get is 12.25%, so it takes me down to about the same price.

The Porsche is a pure drivers car, and it drives/handles awesomely. The Benz is no slouch and drives very nice, but it's the tech and extras that had me lean that way.

Congratulations on the new GLE and the savings! What was your quote before the 12.25%? I think the MSRP in Canada starts at $63,200.

It was $76k and some change after additions. I have a few weeks now to cross shop while I wait.

Getting dealers to battle on price might be something worth trying, i know some guys that have been doing that with luck. You lose 20% of its value once rolling it off the dealership floor for the first time, so why not ;)

Unfortunately, I only found 1 dealer willing to accept the control number within the first 90 days. After 90, maybe, but I'm happy with the 12.25%.

You'll probably be more thankful of what you end up paying with the growing number of reports you'll find on here of what people ended up paying.

Thanks to my brothers on the macan forum, I was able to get pre-approved with Irma for 1.75% @ 75 mos too.
This 75th Anniversary Special APR by the North Island Credit Union of San Diego is coming to an end this month, a week from today.

If you are planning to buy new or used, or to refinance a car a few months from now, you can still avail of this special APR by getting pre-approved before the rate is gone (back to the the still low APR of 1.99% for 60 mos), and the NICU can extend it for the next three months.

Congratulations to the new Porsche Macan and future Mercedes Benz GLE 450 Coupe owners (you know who you are!)

For Purchase - New or Used -*** Refinance *** Lease Buy-out
2005 or newer 24 mos 0.75%
2005 or newer 36 mos 1.24%
2008 or newer 48 mos 1.75%
2009 or newer 66 mos 1.75%
2010 or newer 75 mos 1.75%
2013 or newer 84 mos 3.24%

I thought you were fully purchasing it instead of leasing the GLE but it's great to see that you got a great deal on it. Do you plan to buy it after the lease is up?

Were you by any chance able to negotiate price down or was that not possible?
Down from the 12.25% I'm getting? No way, not possible. I could only find 1 dealership willing to use the control (% off) number right now.

I checked in with my dealer and the computer is now saying Oct 4 delivery. When I ordered, it had a Sept deliver date. He's hopeful that it will be Sept still, but doesnt sound like it to me.

I live in Southern CA and looking to order a GLE400. Would you share the name of Dealer and salesman you are dealing with.
12.5% is the best deal I've heard of.
Thanks

Unfortunately, it's a control code, through a friend who works for MB.
