My GLE 400 is our first MB SUV. (We also own a C250 and an SLK350). I have spent the past 13 years in Lexus SUVs. My only complaints...and they are minor....involve the seat comfort and the plastic trim around the AC/Center Console. The lumbar never hits me in the right spot - no matter which of our three I drive. But, seat support is better so I don't need the lumbar in the same way as the Lexus.

The plastic console trim is cheap, annoyingly expands/contracts - thus making noise. I ordered brushed aluminum trim and I am hoping I can order brushed aluminum trim for the console from the dealer to replace what is there now. I really expect more in a $75K plus MB.

Less bothersome....the HDD restriction of 10 CDs. I hate MP3 audio and I really miss a true CD changer because SD card won't read .wav files - or I haven't been able to make that work. Finally, the touch pad controller cannot be used with cloth gloves. Good thing I have the heated steering wheel.

OK... well I hate to be that person, but you need to get with the program on MP3 audio. A disc changer isn't coming back. The plastic makes noise? I'm surprised by that. I think MB interiors are really nice.

If MB would read .wav files via SD, I would stop complaining. What's the point of an expensive sound system if compression clips all of the good sound? This is what younger generations will never understand. There is more sound in the uncompressed world.

I have also developed a squeak in the steering wheel in colder weather.....so I think I am headed to the dealer. Will ask about the center console trim too.

What's funny is sometimes that's what it comes down to, the quality of the audio file, it's like day and night, even on youtube I find myself doing that
