How to make multifunction display to show digital speedometer by default. Now it shows odometer and I can not find a way to change it.

I think it's on page 232 of the owner's manual.

The Display Unit Speedometer / Odometer: function allows you to choose whether
certain displays appear in kilometers or miles in
the multifunction display.

X Press the left or right arrow button on the steering
wheel to select the Sett. menu.

X Press the up or down arrow button to select the
Instrument Cluster submenu.

X Press ok to confirm.

X Press up or down arrow button to select the
Display Unit Speedometer / Odometer
function.

You will see the selected setting: km or miles.
X Press the ok button to save the setting

You are correct but you are talking about permanent display. My concern is multifunction display. I managed to set up digital speedometer on multifunction display as default on GLK. Would like to have same feature on GLE also.

Have the same issue - the default multifunction display always comes up with the odometer, would like to change this for the speedometer.

Any suggestions?
