No exact word on that but as far as its stated, platform will be developed by Aston Martin:

Palmer, who was Nissan’s chief planning officer before moving to Aston Martin last September, said that the SUV would be joined by a new sedan and a third model. All three will share one of the new platforms.
But considering they'll be using an MB engine, it will be best to have MB involved in this as they could provide better direction on developing a platform that complements what that engines provides.

Yea but elsewhere in the article Palmer states that much of the project is beyond the scope of what Aston is capable of on their own. What expertise does ASton have with SUV's or 4WD systems? I'm sure Merc will lend a helping hand...

It is a departure from what AM usually does but I'm sure that it is capable especially with MB's help. I mean every other sports car and high end luxury brand is making a SUV - Bentley, Ferrari, Maserati...

Ferrari is not making an SUV. Maserati is a victim of Sergio and Bentley is held hostage by german delusions.

Aston Martin needs this move for SURVIVAL. They are a small independent

^ You're in luck.

Got this from its Wiki page:

The Urus Super SUV will feature a 584 bhp (435 kW; 592 PS) turbocharged 5.2 liter V10 engine by Audi that includes an electric motor with plug-in capability. The Urus has a front-engine, all-wheel-drive layout.[3][4] The Urus is approximately 16 feet (4.9 m) long, but only about 5.5 feet (1.7 m) high.[5] Top Speed Of 205 mph (328 kph). Lamborghini is still considering this a concept car and are making decisions about tire size and engine type. The Urus seats four people.

I'm surprised they are putting a V10 engine in it. Most auto makers are tending towards less cylinders in their engines. Some people just really like the sound of the V10 in their car.

I wonder if Aston Martin will be going with a big V10, or if it will go with a smaller turbo engine.

People will buy a Aston Martin crossover. I think it'll be a success.
