Hi Is anyone using Mercedes are and whats the major benefit you find

Really up to you, but I personally didn't see a point in getting Mercedes Me. Call me old school, but I can keep track of billing and appointments on my won without an app to remind me.

It's nice to have but the smartphone app (on iPhone) is too poorly written to use. It is VERY slow... it after a few weeks, it eventually kicks you out so you have to re-enter your name and password. What is the point of fingerprint access if the app forces you to reenter name and password? My banking app uses fingerprint access and it NEVER kicks me out forcing me to reenter name and password. This may sound like a small matter, but if you are like me you have LOTS of names and passwords all over the place. It is virtually impossible to remember them all, which is why fingerprint access is so useful. For a while I could not remember name and password for the Mercedes app so I stopped using it. One day I tried a few combinations and got access again.

I like the ability to "locate vehicle." I have never had to use this feature but it gives me peace of mind should the GLE ever be stolen. I also like the ability to lock and unlock via smartphone. A few times I have used the Send2Benz feature and it works well, but again the entire app is way too slow when compared to any other app on my phone. I have never used the Remote Start feature, but if it works as advertised that could be useful at some point.

If the app were faster it would be useful.

You'd think a premium brand like Mercedes would have a fast and functioning app with minimal glitches. They should poach someone from Google or your banking app provider to improve Mercedes Me. At most I'll use the car locator because for the life of me, I can never remember where I parked.

The Mercedesme app gets very bad reviews on the App store--even after they continue to update it! I don't know why they can't hire better programmers. I would hate to have to depend on the app for anything because it is so poorly written. It is literally the slowest app on my iPhone; slow to open and very slow to function.

Hope Mercedes gets their app together soon because people expect more for what they're paying and flaky connections, inaccurate or out of date location data, and simply not connecting is not going to cut it for long. Last time they updated was in October and there are still so many problems.

It shows only where the car is parked and how many km driven on the clock. I receive e-mails with book-size attachments on updates to service agreement. I'm wondering for showing km and location of the car, what is that agreement?!
