Mercedes just announced 2017 E43 AMG with 396 HP. Extra 34 HP than the C43 AMG (current C450 AMG), According to CAR Scoops and CAR & DRIVER. E43 has bigger turbo and different software to pump out that extra HP. I truly hope Mercedes doesn't put that in the GLE 43 Coupe when the time comes to change the name. I will be pissed!!!!!

Curious, yes; worried, no. I've had my GLE since October, and I wouldn't have waiting. It would suck, bc I'd def want the bigger engine, but nothing I can do about it now...
very true.

But, I think all the potential buyers are now gonna wait and ask dealers the question.
Unlike C43, I think MB intentionally doesn't want to confirm the information because they want to still sell as many GLE 450 Coupe as possible.

That's typically how it works and it's smart, it's usually the minority of people that stay on top of things, as we do, that find out about future developments. The uninformed person often buys right before something good comes out, and end up kicking themselves 6months down the road after finding out.

I always do my research, but I really did not see this coming. that's why I bought my GLE coupe a month ago. I really hope this doesn't happen.

True. But I own my own business and I use my car for some business purposes. The tax write off on business used portions more than offsets the taxes. Plus, when they announce a new engine or redesign, I don't have to sweat it because I know I can potentially drive it in a couple of years without losing a ton of $$$!
