Hello! I currently have a 2012 B200 which is on lease. The term is ending next year and I would like to upgrade to something with more space capacity. After a good couple years with the B200 both my wife and I find it to be underpowered and inadequate. We share the vehicle between the two of us and its just not cutting it. Luckily, it's leased.

I'll just go ahead and list the pros and cons to keep things clear.

pros

great for little car for city driving

decent space if you have less than 2 children (we have 3)

visibility is nice (no blind spots)

cons

harsh suspension, not smooth at all even with no load

back seats are only good for children not adults

fuel economy was not always what is declared

cvt transmission (has a mind of its own)


Looking forward to the GLE 350 as our replacement by 2016

This was Huge upgrade for me from 2008 C300. The ride is not as quiet as I like it but it is super great with visibility ahead of the road and side. I loved it the time I test drove it back to back with GLC. Good luck with Yours.

On the point of the CVT, I think that you'll get used to it over time. It does help your gas mileage too.

Have you by any chance looked into any vehicles from the competition or are you set on getting just the GLE?
