I’ve recently bought a Mercedes GLE 350de (W167) here in the UK, and while I love the car overall, I’ve found the ride quality quite poor. It feels bouncy, especially over uneven roads, and the cabin shakes a lot, particularly at low to mid speeds. I’m on the standard steel suspension, not the AIRMATIC setup, and I’m running 20-inch wheels.
Just wondering — has anyone else experienced this with the non-AIRMATIC GLE models?
I’m currently looking into comfort-biased suspension upgrades, like Bilstein B6 dampers, and possibly switching to smaller wheels or higher-profile tyres.
Would be great to hear from others who’ve upgraded or had similar issues. Any recommendations or feedback would be much appreciated!
