Hi there,

Just picked up my first ever Mercedes. 2016 GLE 63S. I'm hoping to get some advice from some experience folk around here on how to maintain and perhaps modify this vehicle.

I come from a long line of BMWs so I'm quite excited to be a part of the Mercedes family now!

Can't get enough of how it looks from the rear, was sitting behind one in traffic and couldn't stop staring

Can't wait to see what aftermarket parts makers can do to improve its design, Brabus being one brand that comes to mind.

What kind of mods did you have in mind?

I hope he has Brabus in mind because at times they come up with nice changes, much like what was done to the GLE Coupe:

Ya I don't think Brabus has anything for the SUV version of the GLE yet. The biggest challenge coming from a BMW is that there are aftermarket mods for all vehicles readily available. Seems like Mercedes is lacking in that department probably due to the people that buy them. Just need to be patient and see what's available. Honestly, if nothing nice comes out from any company then it's just gonna be the standard: rims and lowering for this GLE.

Threw Brabus in since they might come to market with things for the SUV version although it may not be in the same numbers for the coupe. But overall they seem good with bringing products to market.

Are there any wheel brands and models of wheels you're currently interested in?

Looking forward to seeing what you end up doing.

Ya probably some HRE for wheels. Don't know exactly which model yet but wanna go staggered and super wide in the rear. That's how SUV stance should be out of factory.

Brabus mods are very expensive. There is a lot you can do without spending so much, and a lot of people don't want such a bold change too.
