Hi I'm new here and like to know if anyone face electric problems with the GLE500E.
since I got my 2018 GLE about a month ago, I faced few electrical issues. first, the electric motor some times is not working even if the Battery is full charge and the car is in hybrid mode. only after shouting off the ignition and start the car again it start to work. another issue I have found is with the driving mode knob, if I am shifting the gear manually and then turn to automatic, the driving mode knob stop working. any ideas?

If the vehicle is only a month old, its probably best to take it into your dealer and have the problems diagnosed. This is the first I'm hearing of the hybrid powertrain not working as intended, and you'll to have that addressed to really benefit from the increased fuel economy. Hopefully your issues are something that can be fixed with a software update.

I'm already went to the dealer twice and they didn't found any thing. I believe that it is a software bug.

Is there any way to go about rebooting the system, rather than having to turn the vehicle off and on again? If it was a software bug you'd think we'd see more owners reporting the same issue..

Two thoughts:

a) If you are in Sport Mode, the gasoline engine does not shut off (This is by design, for performance. The electric motor is used for boost.). Is it possible you switch to Sport Mode? It will revert to Comfort mode when you turn the engine off and on, and the hybrid system will appear to work again.
b) What happens if you switch to E-Mode when this is happening? Does the electric motor come on?

I encountered same issue with my GLE550e. it's in hybrid mode, battery fully charged. It does not switch to consume the energy from battery but could charge it while break is on.
Any idea?
