Drivers Seat knocks every time i turn left

3866 Views 8 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Benzinator
I have a new GLE 250, every time I turn left or even slightly right I get a knock under my seat. It's been in to the dealer who reassured me they have replaced the parts concerned, but no, it still knocks.
It's going in for a 3rd time in a couple of weeks and don't want it back until it's fixed.
Anybody else get any seat knocking problems.

Haven't seen anything about the seat knocking but I agree. Take it back, tell them to fix it, before you leave with it, take a tech or advisor with you and make sure it doesn't happen again
Will Update once it's been in, cheers! :nerd:
My GLE has been in for 3 days, went to collect it this morning and still not perfect, still hear a sound when turning. I walked away from it, don't want it back until sorted. Shocking that a car of this value should be put together so loosely, even my centre console creeks...I love the GLE, but I'm beginning to dislike driving it :(
Extremely sorry to hear that, but glad you left it there for them to deal with it. Is it possible to pull a lemon clause and get another one ? How many miles do you have on it ?

You might want to start asking people about their GLE's production date since going off that you can pin point a batch that will have the least problems and suggest you get a GLE from that batch if you still want a GLE.

Keep us posted on how things go, hopefully this is the last of your issues.
Hi,
Since my last post, my seat has infact been fixed with a new seat and housing...still shouldnt have taken this long to fix this problem. Now I have a leaking air bag in the seat in the lumbar region....no deal breaker though as I don't really use it...will seriously look at what I get next with regards to Mercs...

I like to think that this is the price we pay for getting into a Mercedes unless i'm just becoming too content!

As long as you have a good dealer I guess it can be said that's all that matters, they can make or break your ownership experience.
Have them replace the seat again if possible, a leaking airbag is of great concern. Didn't even know those thing could leak unless they're deployed.
