At a stop stays in 2nd gear
Hi. I think my transmission is acting up. I have a 2019 GLE 400 and have only had it for 3 months. When I am at a stop it is in 2nd gear. It is only in 1st when I move it to drive from park. I don't recall seeing this earlier in my ownership. Is this common or should it be in 1st?

The mechanic at the dealer said Mercedes change that a few years ago so it is completely normal. My niece has a 2022 and hers is in first at a stop sign. I don’t know what to tell you? Ugh!
Try changing it to Sport mode from comfort mode.
When I had my W209. I had it in Comfort mode it started in 2nd gear. When I switched it to Sport mode it starts in 1st gear. This is normal for all or most Benz model.
