For those who have always wanted a vehicle from the Mercedes-Benz AMG lineup but found the existing high-performance vehicles too imposing, the automaker has you covered with the 43 range.

Sitting below the AMG 45, 63 and 65 whilst offering more power than the standard Mercedes models, the 43 is the Mercedes equivalent of the Audi S models or the BMW M performance lineup.

There’s already a few AMG43 models on sale including the SLC43 roadster, GLC43 crossover, and C43 sedan, coupe, and cabriolet. The E43 sedan, GLE43 Coupe, and GLC43 Coupe will be available in the coming months. Add on the new GLE43 crossover and the sub-performance lineup will consist of 9 models.

As with any other Mercedes vehicle, the GLE43 will be a luxurious vehicle with plenty of features including heated seats and steering wheel, a power sunroof, Mercedes’ COMAND entertainment system and more.

Powering the largest model of the 43 range, the GLE43 is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that is cranking out 362 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. Mated to it is a nine-speed automatic transmission and 4Matic all-wheel drive.

According to Carscoops, the wait will be a short one as the GLE43 is set to hit dealerships this quarter.

Now to wait and see the pricing from a base to spec'd out. But how can one be intimidated by the AMG GLE63 S ?!
I have a 2017 GLE-AMG 43 and I'm looking for chrome running boards/nerf bars or partially chromed boards. I tuned down the stock lighted running boards because i want chrome. My wheels are chrome and I ordered the chrome kit on the AMG. The idea is to make the GLE-AMG appear to be sitting lower and match the wheels and chrome kit.
Anyone know where I might find these or know of anyone chroming the aluminum portion of the stock Mercedes boards. Been online and to CarId and Running Board Warehouse, etc. but no luck. They all think the car is different, but basically it is a GLE400 with the AMG package.
Thanks,
Van
Glem, they run $72k plus. About $40k less than the 63s as a general rule. But, there are a number of differences. But, also, $40k will buy you another nice car. Build your choice on the MB site. Have fun.

Thanks for the info and the tip! I'll definitely have to keep that in mind as that could mean another toy to add to the stable.. Decisions, decisions.
Can some of you please share your on road costs or leasing deals that you scored with GLE43
Hmm.. that one could be covered in a OTD Lease Price thread or something in the Purchases and Orders sub forum section.
