Oh... S-Class owners aren't going to like this. Just when things were getting good for the S-Class, now its about to go the other way with some of its top interior design features being diluted, the double screen being one of them. great for future GLE owners however

Either they really went out of their way to mess with the side profile or thats how it will be in production. If it is then this is going to look weird with some basemodel wheels, way too sunken in by the rear. What's everyones take on the side profile.

I love how bold that front end is, its one of the few areas that camo can't hide much of, just off its overall shape you can tell.
But then again who is really surprised? MB's design doesn't change too much from model to model.

Glad to see that even more spy shots are coming out and the more I look at it the more i'm starting to see features from the G-Code concept here. I just hope they didn't stray too much from the concept. But so far Mercedes has been leading in design, quite confident we'll get the best looking thing in this segment.

2020 gle

Per Autoweek today, looks like the next GLE could maybe be a '20 instead of a '19? This is from a discussion of the CLS53 model, replacing the current 43:

"The GLE midsize crossover is another candidate for a 53 model. The GLE will be redesigned in 2018 with a likely U.S. on-sale date in early 2019. The AMG model would come after that."

I was hoping it was coming out next Summer as usual, as I'm itching to replace my '12 ML. The strong likelihood that it will get the new straight-six is a big plus and worth waiting for, IMO.
