I purchased my vehicle from Patterson Auto Center, Wichita Falls, TX on 11 June 2016. Approximately I hour after leaving the dealership (approximately 50 miles) I received the following warning light “Collision Prevention Assist Plus Inoperative”.

I took my vehicle back to the dealer for repairs on 15 June 2016 but to date the dealer has been unable to correct the problem. They have attempted to fix the issue twice, once by replacing just the module and then replaced the total sub-assembly. They have not been able to fix it and don’t seem to know what is wrong.

At one point they said the vehicle was fixed so I returned to the dealership but when I picked it up the warning light came on as soon as the car was started.

The car has now been in for repair more days than I have been able to drive it.

This problem is a safety issues and I refuse to drive the car until it is repaired.

Have not heard from the dealers since Friday 17 June although they worked on Saturday June 18.

Called the salesman and he said he would see what he could do and call me. I have not heard from him.

I have no idea what they plan to do or when they plan to do it.

I sent the dealer and MB a Certified Letter telling them of my displeasure.

Update. After car was at the dealer for 7 days they finally figured out the issue. Cars that have Driver Assistance Package require two sensors located behind the front grills, cars like mine that do not have the Divers Assistance Package only need one for the Collision Assist Prevention Plus to operate properly. At the factory they installed two. MB quality control must be bad if they didn't catch something as simple as this. They also forgot to install the Wheel Locking Bolts that were on the build sheet. I asked the dealer about the Wheel Locking Bolts and they will have to order them.
