It was recently published and the Mercedes GLE 63 SUV made it onto the list. The people at TruckYeah considers it an obscenely overpowered SUV and that’s the best kind of compliment future Mercedes GLE owners could hear. Who would want an underpowered SUV anyways?

We need our Mercedes GLEs equipped with handcrafted 5.5L AMG biturbo gasoline V-8 engines. Will we ever need to utilise the full 577 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque in the S model? Probably not but it feels good to have that power at your fingertips. That seven-speed automatic transmission will send all four of your wheels flying when you try to sprint to 60 MPH (it takes 4.1seconds).

The AMG GLE 63 may have the same engine but it was detuned. Still, the model made it onto the list as it produces a staggering 550 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. At almost 5,000 pounds, the AMG GLE 63’s acceleration time is just .1 second more than the S model.

Other cars that made it onto the list are: the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, Mercedes G-Class, Porsche Cayenne, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Mercedes GL, BMW X5 and BMW X6, and the Bentley Bentayga.

Mercedes is the leader of this bunch in terms of hp even if the GLE 63 SUV model isn’t.

Glad to see the Jeep Grand Cherokee up there. Almost got myself an EcoDiesel Overland model.
